Accessibility statement

We want Rain Radars to be usable by people with different abilities. This statement describes current features and known limitations. No independent accessibility audit or full conformance certification has been completed.

Current accessibility features

Known limitations

The radar is a graphical canvas. A screen reader cannot obtain an equivalent full spatial description of rain from it, and precipitation intensity is primarily communicated through color. The calendar is also partly color-coded, although dates have descriptive accessible labels.

Adding markers and starting/drawing shapes currently requires map pointing or a context-menu gesture. The menu supports keyboard navigation after opening, and drawing supports Escape, Enter, and polygon undo, but there is no complete keyboard-only alternative for placing shapes. These features are not claimed to be fully accessible.

Report an accessibility problem

Contact [email protected] with the affected page or feature, what you were trying to do, and your browser and assistive technology if relevant. Please avoid sharing sensitive information. You may request an alternative explanation of the available data; we will review what can reasonably be supplied.

The support contact also receives accessibility requests; no dedicated accessibility coordinator is represented as appointed by this statement.

Standards and review

The relevant accessibility framework for public internet services in Israel includes the Israeli accessibility regulations and IS 5568, subject to their scope and applicable exemptions. Publishing this statement does not establish that the application meets every requirement. Known barriers require continued assessment and improvement.

See the Commission for Equal Rights of Persons with Disabilities guidance. The date below is the statement's update date, not an audit date.
